Career

Mureșan graduated from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies in 2004 and took a master's degree at Humboldt University of Berlin in 2006. He has been an MEP since 1 July 2014, first for the People's Movement Party (2014–2018) and then the National Liberal Party, in the EPP Group. He has been EPP vice-president since November 2019 and vice-chair of the EPP Group. His European Parliament work includes being EPP negotiator on the 2017 EU budget, rapporteur on the 2018 budget and co-rapporteur on the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
