Career
Predoiu graduated in law from the University of Bucharest in 1991, trained in commercial law at the Caen Bar in 1994 and earned a doctorate in 2004. He practised commercial law, taught at the University of Bucharest from 1994 to 2005 and has sat on the Bucharest Bar Association council since 2003. He was Minister of Justice in 2008 to 2012, 2019 to 2020 and 2021 to 2023, and Minister of Foreign Affairs from October to December 2009. He was acting Prime Minister in February 2012, June 2023 and for 48 days in May and June 2025. He joined the PNL in 2014 and serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs under Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
