Wikipedia classes the Reservists as centre-right and Zionist. Neither partner holds Knesset seats. It is the joint list of the Reservists and the New Economic Party in the 2026 Knesset election of 27 October 2026.
History
Yoaz Hendel, a former Minister of Communications and IDF reserve battalion commander, founded The Reservists on 18 September 2025. In July 2026 it allied with Hili Tropper, first as Yesodot Yisrael and then as Zionist Home – The Reservists. That alliance split in early September 2026: Tropper joined Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar, and Hendel partnered with Yaron Zelekha's New Economic Party. Einat Wilf joined the party on 7 September 2026. The joint list runs under a common ballot symbol, and Wikipedia reports that the party had not won seats.
Positions
Wikipedia describes the Reservists as Zionist, centre-right and opposed to draft exemptions. Its main proposal is universal conscription, including Haredim and Arab citizens, with sanctions for evaders, and benefits such as tax credits and housing support for reservists. It calls for a Zionist unity government excluding Arab and Ultra-Orthodox parties and says it would work with anyone, including Netanyahu and Ben Gvir. Hendel calls the conflict with the Palestinians a "clash of civilizations". The party backs a state commission of inquiry into 7 October.
