History

The Party of Justice and Reconciliation was founded on 14 August 2013 as a split from the Bosniak Democratic Union and took its present name on 23 December 2017. It won no seats in 2014 with 3.4 percent, two in 2016, four in 2020, three in 2022 and two in 2023, never passing 4 percent of the vote. Usame Zukorlić, who holds a master's degree in economics from the International University of Novi Pazar, headed the party's youth wing, became deputy president of the Republic Electoral Commission in late 2021 and party president in November 2021 after the death of his father Muamer Zukorlić, and entered parliament on 1 August 2022.
