Zdravko Ponoš was chief of the General Staff from 2006 to 2008, came second in the 2022 presidential election with about 18 percent, founded Serbia Centre in 2022 and has sat in parliament since 2024. Marinika Tepić, a philologist and former journalist, was Vojvodina's secretary for sports and youth from 2012 to 2016 and a member of parliament in 2016–2020 and since 2022.

Positions

Wikipedia describes the SSP as a centre-left, social democratic party that supports progressive taxation, free textbooks and school meals and a new labour law, opposes neoliberalism and Chinese investment in infrastructure, calls itself anti-corruption, and strongly backs Serbia's EU accession and reconciliation in the Balkans. It has been an associate member of the Party of European Socialists since October 2025 and joined the Platform for a European Serbia in June 2026. Ponoš opposes recognition of Kosovo's independence, according to Wikipedia.
