Ann's Bay, Jamaica, is a Toronto activist and perennial candidate, and the founder of The People's Political Party. He campaigns on poverty, homelessness and criminal justice reform and has run in most Toronto mayoral elections since 2000. He is a registered candidate for Mayor of Toronto in the municipal election of 26 October 2026.

Career

Clarke was born on 21 March 1964 in Jamaica. He worked as a Grade 5 teacher in the 1980s, then in the automobile business and later as an actor. He experienced homelessness from 1998 to 2005 and again after March 2025. He founded The People's Political Party, which he led from 2011 to 2021 and presided over until 2023. He ran for mayor of East York in 1994 and has since stood at every level of government, including Toronto mayoral races in 2000, 2003, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2023. In 2022 he received 0.79 per cent and finished ninth.
