He was Cabinet Chief from 2008 to 2009, President of the Chamber of Deputies from 2019 to 2022 and Minister of Economy from 2022 to 2023, and lost the 2023 presidential runoff to Javier Milei. Career

Born on 28 April 1972, Massa was a provincial deputy from 1999 to 2002, head of the social security agency ANSES from 2002 to 2007, and Cabinet Chief under Cristina Fernández de Kirchner from 2008 to 2009. He was twice Mayor of Tigre and founded the Renewal Front in 2013. He presided over the Chamber of Deputies from 2019 to 2022 and was Minister of Economy from 2022 to 2023, when annual inflation reached 160.9% in November 2023 and 211.4% in December. He won the October 2023 first round with 36.6% but lost the November runoff to Milei by about 12 points, after which he said he would leave politics.
