Career

Born on 25 February 1972, Bregman is a lawyer who founded the Professionals' Centre for Human Rights in 1997 and took part in crimes-against-humanity trials from the dictatorship era, including the Jorge Julio López case. She has been in the Workers' Left Front since 2011. She served as a national deputy from 2015 to 2016, as a Buenos Aires city legislator from 2017 to 2021, and was elected a deputy again in 2021 and in the 2025 legislative elections. As the front's 2023 presidential candidate she received 722,061 votes (2.70%), finishing fifth.
