Born on 8 February 1959, Macri led the Boca Juniors football club from 1995 to 2007, a period in which the club won 16 titles. He was a national deputy from 2005 to 2007, Chief of Government of the City of Buenos Aires from 2007 to 2015, and President of Argentina from 2015 to 2019. He has belonged to Republican Proposal (PRO) since 2008 and was president pro tempore of UNASUR in 2017 and 2018.
