Career

Ramaswamy graduated in biology from Harvard (2007) and from Yale Law School (2013). He founded the biotech firm Roivant Sciences in 2014 and was its chief executive until 2021, and co-founded Strive Asset Management in 2022. He declared for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination in February 2023, finished fourth in the Iowa caucuses and endorsed Donald Trump in January 2024. He was named to co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency with Elon Musk but left on Inauguration Day 2025, and won the Ohio Republican gubernatorial primary on 5 May 2026 with 82.5%.
