She served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011, as Governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017 and as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018. Haley sat in the South Carolina House from 2005 to 2011, was governor from 2011 to 2017 and then U.S. ambassador to the United Nations until 2018. She finished third in Iowa with 19 percent and second in New Hampshire, and suspended her campaign on 6 March 2024 after Super Tuesday, endorsing Donald Trump.
