The alliance was established on 23 April 2018. It won 8 seats with 6.74% in 2018, 26 seats with 19.19% in 2022, becoming the largest party, and 7 seats with 6.43% in 2026. It led the Kariņš cabinets (2019-2022 and 2022-2023) and the Siliņa cabinet (2023-2026), holding the premiership and the foreign and finance ministries. It won 2 of Latvia's 9 seats in the 2024 European Parliament election. It consists of Unity and four regional parties, with the Latgale Party as an associate member.
