He belongs to no party, has supported the student blockades since they began and often criticises how Serbian football is run. He was 192nd on the Student List – Students Win, which won the most votes in the Serbian parliamentary election of 25 October 2026.

Career

A left back, Poledica came through Borac Čačak, playing for its first team from 1996 to 2000, then moved to Vojvodina, where in the 2001–02 season he was called up to the national team for a friendly against Mexico but did not play. He went on to play for Lech Poznań on loan, Sparta Prague, with whom he won the 2003–04 Czech Cup, Legia Warsaw, Polish champions in 2005–06, Pogoń Szczecin, Slavia Sofia, Smederevo, Čukarički, Borac again and finally Mladost Lučani in 2009–10. He was elected president of the footballers' union on 12 March 2009. He is a graduate of a faculty of sport, has qualified in FIFA football law and sits on the European board of the international footballers' union.

Positions

In February 2025 Poledica told Danas that President Aleksandar Vučić was the first head of state to have put both Red Star and Partizan under full control and that bad decisions by the football association had ruined football in the provinces; he said he had won private lawsuits against both clubs after they publicly discredited him, and that two of his tweets had led to two 'friendly conversations' at the Security Information Agency (BIA). On the list he speaks for sport: he helped the students draft a programme for sport that proposes free school sport, vouchers for parents and an end to membership fees in sport, which he said were paid in cash, off the books, to the tune of more than €100 million a year. He has said that anyone who enriched themselves illegally through sport must answer for it, 'without exceptions and without protected people'.
