She backed the students during the university blockades and debated Ana Brnabić on N1 during the 2026 campaign. She was 90th on the Student List – Students Win, which won the most votes in the Serbian parliamentary election of 25 October 2026.

Career

Nikolić took all her degrees at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, where she teaches media studies and ethics, management and production of electronic media, and radio production. She has written three books on the history of radio in Serbia and more than 50 papers on media, public service broadcasting, regulation and artificial intelligence, and directed the faculty's Institute for Theatre, Film, Radio and Television. She served in the leadership of rector Mileta Prodanović and was acting rector for years before the university council elected her rector in June 2021; she took office on 1 October 2021 (Danas).

Positions

Nikolić has defended the halt to teaching during the blockades as decided by all university bodies. At a student rally on Slavija square in May 2026 she said she spoke as a citizen against corruption, arrogance and disregard for the law, called most media a megaphone of the government, said the news programme of the public broadcaster RTS failed its duty to citizens, and argued that culture, education and free media were the starting point of change (N1). In the N1 debate of 24 September 2026 she asked that the two lists present their programmes to voters.

Controversies

After an inspection in March 2025, the Education Inspectorate filed misdemeanour complaints against the University of Arts and against Nikolić as the person responsible because teaching was not held; she faced a fine of 10,000 to 50,000 dinars and the university up to two million. She called it pressure and intimidation and was summoned to the Belgrade Misdemeanour Court on 11 September 2025 (N1); the pages consulted report no ruling. On 16 September 2026 National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabić (SNS) attacked her on X for calling the protests orderly, and in their N1 debate said professors had blocked faculties; Nikolić rejected that and said the university council, which includes government appointees, had raised no objection.
