She publicly backed the student protest movement in 2025 and was the first woman on the list. She was second on the Student List – Students Win, which won the most votes in the Serbian parliamentary election of 25 October 2026.

Career

Stanković graduated from the University of Belgrade's medical faculty in 2000 and passed her ENT specialist examination in 2006. She has worked in the Institute's ENT service since 2005, has led its endoscopic and laser surgery unit since 2014 and became a primarius in 2017; her main field is airway endoscopy in children. From 2009 to 2023 she was also a consultant to the Institute for Neonatology. Since 2012 she has represented Serbia on the board of the European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology. With Vladan Šubarević she launched the Serbian Association of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (founded 2016), of which she is general secretary, and she has edited seven professional handbooks. In May 2025 the two dedicated the association's symposium on Kopaonik, titled "When I grow up I'll be a student", and its book to Serbia's students.

Positions

In an Insajder interview in October 2026 she urged a calm and dignified election and called a high turnout the best defence of the vote. She ruled out negotiating with the Serbian Progressive Party or the Socialist Party, left room for others who met the list's criteria of expertise and had not compromised themselves under the previous government, and said expert teams stood behind each of the programme's 11 points. Asked whether a future government could debate whether someone convicted by an international court was a war criminal, she said court rulings must be accepted as delivered and such events left to history (Politika). The daily Kurir presented this as the list confirming that Ratko Mladić is a war criminal; Informer wrote that she had "admitted" power centres stood behind the list, citing her words that teams of students and experts "control" the candidates.
