She was one of the 14 signatories of the citizens' group that put the list forward. She was fifth on the Student List – Students Win, which won the most votes in the Serbian parliamentary election of 25 October 2026.

Career

Šćepanović graduated in English from the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Philology and in 2010 defended a master's thesis on contemporary American literature. She has taught at the Philological Grammar School (Filološka gimnazija) since 2002, has been a mentor and examiner for the English teaching-methods exam at the Faculty of Philology since 2015, and has written and translated professional and artistic publications. During the teachers' work stoppage, in March 2025, she told Insajder (as Katarina Šćepanović Ostojić) for the Forum of Belgrade Grammar Schools that the schools would not discuss making up lost classes until the stoppage ended and that responsibility lay with the education ministry. With colleagues from other unions she launched the citizens' initiative "Right to Strike" to change the strike law, and in February 2026 she signed a letter of more than 120 teachers backing suspended colleagues of the Fifth Belgrade Grammar School (Danas).

Positions

Šćepanović told Nova that the list wants to return the state to its "factory settings": institutions that work, respect for the constitution and laws, equality before the law and accountability for everyone's actions; she said attacks by pro-government media had already begun and that teachers on fixed-term contracts had lost their jobs after the stoppage. In an October 2026 interview with Nedeljnik she called for free textbooks and quality education accessible to all, arguing that a strong economy needs highly qualified workers rather than cheap labour and that the school system rests on people, not buildings and tablets. Earlier she had proposed abolishing competitions and grading in the lower primary grades, fewer subjects, more practical teaching and greater autonomy for teachers (Zelena učionica).
