Career
Born in Belgrade, Kolundžija took a master's degree at the University of Arts in Belgrade and later studied with Henryk Szeryng. He has played at Carnegie Hall and Moscow's Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, often with his sister, the pianist Nada Kolundžija; in 1994 he played ten violin concertos over four days and in 2008 all of Beethoven's sonatas for violin and piano. His Guarnerius Art Centre, opened in 2001, was recognised by the government as a cultural institution of national importance in 2013; he plays a Guarneri violin of 1754. Entering parliament third on the SNS list in 2020, he said he would work in a non-partisan way for change in Serbia's cultural sector. Re-elected in 2022 and 2023, he sits on the culture and information committee and is a member of the friendship group with Eswatini. President Vučić decorated him on Vidovdan in June 2025.
