Career
Jadot was born on 27 July 1967 and was campaign director of Greenpeace France from 2002 to 2008. A member of The Greens from 1999 and of The Ecologists since 2010, he was elected to the European Parliament in 2009 and sat there until 2023. In 2017 he was chosen as the Green presidential candidate but withdrew to back Socialist Benoît Hamon. He led the Green list in the 2019 European election (13.5%), came sixth in the 2022 presidential election with 4.6%, and became senator for Paris in 2023.
