Elected at 22 in 2012, Maréchal was the youngest modern French parliamentarian and sat until 2017. In 2015 she led the National Front list in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, with 40.55% in the first round. After a pause she founded the private school ISSEP, was Reconquête's executive vice president under Éric Zemmour (2022–2024), and was expelled from it on 12 June 2024 after calling for support for National Rally candidates. She has sat in the European Parliament since 2024.
