Elenore Sturko has led it since 22 September 2026. Wikipedia places it from centre to centre-right. It is among the parties contesting the British Columbia general election of 24 October 2026.

History

Kirkpatrick founded the party after BC United leader Kevin Falcon refused to resign over his suspension of that party's 2024 campaign. She led it until 20 June 2026; Mike Bernier was named leader on 18 July 2026. On 18 September 2026 Bernier resigned so that Peter Milobar could take over as eight MLAs joined the party. On 22 September, as the election was called, Milobar and six other MLAs returned to the BC Conservatives, leaving Elenore Sturko of Surrey-Cloverdale as leader and sole incumbent. The party is running 35 candidates.

Positions

Wikipedia describes the party as right-liberal, with fiscal conservatism and conservative liberalism as its ideologies, and places it from centre to centre-right, positioned between the NDP and the Conservatives. Its slogan is "Balanced Government for British Columbia."
