Career

Dias teaches in Maranhão's public school system, co-founded the Quilombo Urbano movement and fronts the rap group Gíria Vermelha. He ran for vice-governor of Maranhão in 2010, was Vera Lúcia's running mate on the PSTU's 2018 presidential ticket, ran for mayor of São Luís in 2020 and for governor of Maranhão in 2022. The PSTU confirmed him as its presidential candidate at its national convention in São Paulo on 31 July 2026; his ballot number is 16.
