He has been Minister of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization since March 2025, after entering parliament on the Hlas list in 2023. He runs as an independent for chair of the Prešov Self-Governing Region in the 2026 election.
Career
Wikipedia says he studied mass media communication at Trnava University and worked for TV JOJ as a reporter and presenter from 2004 to 2023. He entered the National Council in October 2023 for Hlas-SD, where he was vice-chair of the committee reviewing National Security Authority decisions. In January 2025 Hlas expelled him and another MP after they formed a parliamentary group and demanded changes in the party leadership, which the party said were personal appointments. On 19 March 2025 President Peter Pellegrini appointed him minister, as Startitup reports as a nominee of Smer.

Positions
Announcing his run on 8 May 2026, Migaľ named jobs, housing and infrastructure as priorities and called the incumbent chair Milan Majerský (KDH) a caretaker of the existing state. He said he would give up his parliamentary seat if elected. On 9 October 2026 SITA reported that Zoltán Kašo withdrew and backed him, and that Migaľ plans a Roma council, accessible education, vocational training and jobs.
