He co-founded the movement We – the Voice from the People in 2023 and has led it since March 2024; he has sat in the National Assembly since February 2024. In June 2026 he said he was considering a run in the next presidential election.

Career

Nestorović graduated from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine in 1979 and earned a doctorate in paediatrics and allergology in 1985. He headed the pulmonology and allergology department at the University Children's Hospital in Belgrade and rose to full professor. In politics he was earlier linked to the Serbian Renewal Movement and the Democratic Party, co-founded the movement in 2023, took his Assembly seat on 6 February 2024 and became party president on 28 March 2024.

Positions

Wikipedia describes the movement as right-wing populist and him as a COVID-19 sceptic, as having supported anti-vaccination movements and as having endorsed conspiracy theories. On 16 June 2026 he said his chances of winning a presidential election were slim but he expected a good result and wanted to break the dichotomy between the Serbian Progressive Party and the student movement, Beta Briefing reported.

Controversies

In February 2024, in his first parliamentary session, he compared opposition MPs to Roma, a remark the Roma group Opre Roma condemned, with Vreme running it under the headline that he incites racism and hatred. Wikipedia says he apologised.
