He became Minister of the Interior in December 2024 and was acting minister in July 2026. He is the Social Democrats' candidate in the 8 November 2026 Seimas by-election in the Northern Nalšia constituency.
Career
Kondratovič studied business administration at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (2002) and took a master's degree in road engineering there in 2019. He led the companies Virtuvės pasaulis and Vokė-3 between 1998 and 2006 and in 2006 became president of the sports and tourism association Optimalietis. In Vilnius district municipality he headed the investment department until 2011 and was then deputy administration director. He stood on the Lithuanian Poles' Electoral Action list in the 2008 Seimas election, was deputy transport minister in 2013–2014 and 2019–2020, and on 12 December 2024 became Minister of the Interior, succeeding Agnė Bilotaitė. He was a member of the Poles' Electoral Action from 2007 to 2023.
Positions
In July 2026, after Mindaugas Sinkevičius was named prime minister, LRT reported Kondratovič as acting interior minister whose place in the new government was uncertain. That month the Social Democrats asked the Central Electoral Commission to register him as a campaign participant in the by-election, after their first choice, sitting MP Ruslanas Baranovas, withdrew following public criticism that he already held a Seimas seat. The Social Democratic Party's own 2017 programme, as described by Wikipedia, backs progressive taxation, NATO and the EU.
