Positions
Wikipedia lists Salis as an independent backed by the centre-left coalition. Press commentary, such as Jacobin, presents her as a possible challenger to Giorgia Meloni. At a press conference on 12 June 2026 she said she is and remains mayor of Genoa, intends to serve her term to 2030, and will not run as centre-left leader in 2027; she also opposes primaries to choose a coalition leader, according to Il Post.
