Podivinská graduated in horticulture engineering from Mendel University in Brno in 1989. She was mayor of the Brno district of Královo Pole from 2014 to 2022 and has sat on the Brno city council since 2014, serving as a deputy mayor of the city since October 2022. She was a member of ANO 2011 from 2014 until December 2025, when she was excluded from the party together with nine other Brno councillors after refusing to end the city coalition with the ODS, which the party leadership demanded. She joined Brnoklidem in March 2026 and became its deputy chair in April 2026. She stood unsuccessfully in the 2016 regional election and in the Senate elections of 2024 and January 2025.
