Career
Sobota graduated in urbanism from the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava in 1998 and founded his own architectural studio that year. He became an authorised architect in 2003 and has sat on the Slovak Chamber of Architects' committee for competitions and public procurement since 2015, and on its board from May 2021 to May 2025. Since 2022 he has been a member of the Banská Bystrica city council and of the Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Region assembly. In 2009 he helped prepare the project Re:Present BB and in 2022 a similar initiative, Banskobystrické zásahy 2022.
