Career

Chaouki came to politics from finance: he held posts at Emirates International Investment Company in Abu Dhabi and Scope Investment in Dubai, then founded the Moroccan asset manager AD Capital in 2010 and served as its chief executive. He previously belonged to the Authenticity and Modernity Party. Elected to the House of Representatives for Boulemane Province in September 2021, he chaired its Committee on Finance and Economic Development from October 2021 to April 2024, then the RNI group. On 7 February 2026 the RNI elected him president with 1,910 valid votes, succeeding Aziz Akhannouch.
