Election widgets for newsrooms
Free widgets for your articles on elections around the world. Each one follows its race by itself: the market-implied probability before the vote, live updates on election night, then the official result. In 24 languages, with no cookies and no tracking.

Embed code
Paste this into your article or page. The script line is optional: it sizes the widget to its content. Without it the widget fills the height you give it.
Without script
For systems that remove scripts: use it if the first code is rejected, or if the widget shows but does not size itself. The widget fills the height of its frame: set the height that suits your page.
WordPress
In the WordPress editor, paste this address on a line of its own; anyone who can edit posts can do it. The widget appears and sizes itself. A click on it opens our page in the same tab.
Image for newsletters, apps and social media
A PNG of the widget as it is now, 1200 × 630 pixels, redrawn after every update. It goes where a frame cannot: newsletters, apps, Apple News, print, social media, and sites that allow no content from outside. Link it to the race. If your site refuses images from other servers, download it and upload it to your own system; that copy no longer updates.

Widgets are kept out of search engines, so they never compete with your article.
If it does not work
- The widget shows but does not size itself: your system removed the script line. The widget still fills its frame: set the height in the code to suit your page.
- The code is rejected or nothing shows: try “Without script”. If that fails too, your site does not allow content from outside: use the image, and send your web team the link below.
- In WordPress the address stays a link: embeds are switched off on that site. Paste the embed code into a “Custom HTML” block.

What a market-implied probability is
A figure of 62% means that, when the widget was last updated, prices on prediction markets put the chance of that outcome at 62%. It is not a poll and not our forecast: it is what the people taking part in those markets expect between them, and it moves as soon as news arrives.
It has limits. Markets can be wrong, as polls can. Where few people take part, a single participant can move the figure. The figures of a race do not always add up to exactly 100%. A probability says how likely an outcome is, not by how much a candidate will win. Not every election has a market, and the widgets show only races with enough activity to give a meaningful figure.
That is why every widget says “Market-implied probability” above its figures, and after the vote shows the official result, with the vote shares from Wikipedia as soon as the count is in.
Terms
You are welcome to embed Election Tracker widgets and to quote individual figures, with credit and a link to electiontracker.eu. Copying the data in bulk (scraping, feeds, databases) or reselling it is not permitted. © Eastern Vikings OÜ.
Light, responsive and accessible
A widget is one small page of under 10 KB and a few small pictures, loaded only when a reader scrolls near it, so it does not slow your article down. It fits any column from 280 pixels wide, is light by default and can be dark or follow the reader’s own setting, can be used with a keyboard and a screen reader, and still works where scripts are blocked.
No cookies, no tracking, nothing stored on the device
The widget sets no cookies, stores nothing on your readers’ devices and loads nothing from anyone else: every file comes from electiontracker.eu, on a server in the EU. We keep no logs; we count only how many times each widget is loaded per day and on which website (its domain name, nothing else). Whether your site asks readers before it shows embedded content is yours to decide; what your data-protection officer needs to know is listed below.
For your web team and data-protection officer
- Content Security Policy: the widget needs frame-src https://electiontracker.eu. The script line, if you use it, needs the same address in script-src; the image, if it is loaded from our server, needs it in img-src. The widget loads nothing from anywhere else.
- If your consent tool blocks embedded content from sources it does not know, add electiontracker.eu to its allowed sources.
- What our server receives: to send the widget, it necessarily gets the reader’s IP address and the browser’s request, which names your website. None of that is logged or stored. The one thing kept is the count of loads per widget, per day and per website (its domain name).
- Who is responsible, where the server is and what rights readers have: Legal notice & privacy
- For a data-processing agreement, or answers for your records, write to us at hi@electiontracker.eu.
- Sizing: the widget posts its height to the page around it as a Pym.js message, and inside WordPress as WordPress’s own. Our script line is a small listener for it; a page that already runs Pym.js can load the widget’s address with pym.Parent instead. WordPress sizes an embed up to 1,000 pixels high; no widget is taller.
- oEmbed: the pages of our races and regions and the front page link to the endpoint https://electiontracker.eu/oembed (JSON only). WordPress finds it by itself. A system that works from a list of providers needs it added there, for every address under https://electiontracker.eu/.
