Ilona Dvořáková

She has been deputy mayor of Hradec Králové for culture and tourism since 2022 and sits without party affiliation. She heads the Salon republiky 21 slate, and is the movement's lead candidate in the 9-10 October 2026 Hradec Králové municipal election for the city council, from which the mayor is chosen.

Career

Before entering politics Dvořáková worked as a marketing manager, moderator and publicist, and later as an art historian, according to Czech media profiles. In the 2022 municipal election she stood second on the Rozvíjíme Hradec list, which won 7.19 percent and three seats on the 37-member council. She became deputy mayor for culture and tourism in the coalition led by mayor Pavlína Springerová. In 2023 she parted ways with Rozvíjíme Hradec and stayed as an independent, and the movement was removed from the coalition in June 2023 while she kept her post. She chairs the board of Klicperovo divadlo and sits on the board of the Hradec Králové Philharmonic. For 2026 she leads the new Salon republiky 21 list, with Jindřich Vedlich second and deputy mayor Adam Záruba third.

Positions

Press profiles give her main election priorities as affordable housing, including cooperative housing in Kukleny and the northern zone, modernisation of railway lines, reconstruction of public spaces such as Velké náměstí and Benešova Street, parking near the university hospital, more school and kindergarten capacity, and projects helping the city adapt to climate change. Media describe Salon republiky 21 as a newly formed movement. Her own list has not been placed on the left-right scale by the sources found.
