He founded the Revival (Vazrazhdane) party in 2014 and has led it since, and has sat in the National Assembly since December 2021. He is the Revival party's registered candidate for President of Bulgaria in the 25 October 2026 election.

Career

Kostadinov finished the Fifth Language High School in Varna and studied at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University in Veliko Tarnovo, earning degrees in Balkan studies (2002) and law (2011) and a doctorate in ethnography and folklore (2017). He left the VMRO party in 2013 and founded Revival on St. Elijah's Day in 2014, becoming its leader on 2 August 2014. He was a Varna city councillor from 2011 to 2021 and a member of the National Assembly from 3 December 2021. Revival won 4.86 per cent in 2021, 9.83 per cent in 2022, 13.58 per cent in 2023 and 4.1 per cent in 2026. BTA reports that the party nominated him for president with Petar Volgin as his running mate.
